Salerno is a Southern Italian city that I regard as home in Italy and is the city I lived in for 4 years. Now I’m back in the Salerno province and I can honestly say, Salerno is a special place. In this video, I explore the reasons why Salerno is the destination for 2026 and also why it might not be the best place for you. Absolutely loved Salerno! Gorgeous and close to Positano/Amalfie. Floral gardens near water and great food.
Spent two weeks there last year and had a fab time with the locals. Heading back again this year.
Such a pleasure to watch your videos! I absolutely agree with all of words and I live here. Yet, Salerno used to have in the 90's and 00's a great nightlife. Unfortunately local law limitations put it down. Yet, the morning and afternoon life is definitely representative of Italy.
Enjoyed your video-I've lived in Montoro AV for 20 years and I agree with you the Amalfi Coast is now a nightmare in summer-in Salerno I think Mercatello is a great area to live or visit

We spent two weeks in Salerno in 2022. We found a beautiful AirBnB off of via Roma. We like to shop at outdoor markets, but we didn't find a lot there. Where are the mercati riunale in Salerno?
