  1. I want to try wagyu so bad, but theres no way id ever be able to justify spending that much money on one cut of meat. Oh, to be poor 🙁

  2. I ordered 2 ounces of a5 at a restaurant and it was all I really needed because it was just so rich that I felt I’d have a heart attack if I had more lol

  3. I love going to the local steakhouse n getting a nice 12 oz new york strip cooked medium to medium rare. Shit is delicious at it costs 25dollars

  4. In japan you can get the almost same size wagyu(maybe not specifically kobe) for the same price as the rib eye….
    It kinda feels bad that wagyu are treated overpriced outside japan, when in fact, they are not that MUCH expenive if you leave in japan…
    i think the importers outside japan are just greedy and inflate the price like 3-5 times…

    Average grade wagyu is around 20-30$ per pound depending on the part. But I havent seen one exceed 100$ per pound. Maybe the most most expensive cuts from god-like cows will cost that much. But otherwise, not prohibitevly expensive….

  5. $300 for a 80/20 fat to meat ratio strip is insane. It’s crazy that some folks would pay more to eat literal animal fat than the actual lean meat itself.

  7. I’m eating a $5.99/lb chuck roast steak right now and it’s delicious. I’m sure I would taste the difference with some of these steaks but you don’t need hundreds of dollars to have a great steak.

  8. I’ll take the $25 Texas Roadhouse steak cooked to medium rare along with a dozen bread rolls 2 sauces and a large Dr Pepper

  9. the price go up and the percentage of meat in the steak become less and less and at the end u only pay shit ton of money for a 85% white fat not even meat ..
    we live in a society…..

  10. I didn’t like wagyu at all, because the only difference is tenderness. It’s just a waste of money, tbh. Any slow-cooked meat gets a better result for less money.
