I’m in London today at the once infamous Jamie’s Italian owned by Jamie Oliver. Is it better than the last time? It will need to be!

honest and great review. loved you loving the prawns! 🙂
There are obviously questions to be answered about Oliver's (and not only his) modus operandi of declaring himself bust and then restarting with a clean slate, but food-wise, let's hope he learnt some lessons and takes a more hands-on approach.
It must be Spring already, Gary’s wearing his summer shoes!!!
Yayyyyy!!! 🎉🎉🎉😂😂
Time has not treated poor little Jamie very well. His eyes look like razor cuts in lard, and the rest of him looks pretty knackered too. Stolen money obviously does not buy happiness.
Just seen an old review of yours LA cafe. You had a breakfast and then a beef meal. You must have a great stomach that can take all this food at the same time. Thanks
Waiter got on me nerves , great review Gary 🤩👍🏻
It's amazing that J. Oliver came around, and has not turned into a philosophical blabber as Marco P. White did.
Kudos to the restaurant, they got it pretty right on the food side. It's still a little Oliver-Artsy, but not too much. I'd pay the price, no questions asked. It's fair if you look at the place and the dishes served. I'd give this place a chance if visiting London.
Would you try the surrounding Italian restaurants? Feels like Jamie is going to get custom based on the name, is it fair on the other restaurants?
The waiter was a bit touchy-feely, wasn't he?!
Hi Gary, the service should be on the food only and not on the vat which is included in the food price. Deduct 20% and then add the service.
I'm Australian, and went to Jamie's Italian a couple of times.
I found it basic but good, certainly not bad.
I also found the prices ok.
I don't really like Jamie, but I did find the abrupt closure of his resteraunt a loss.
Never again Gary. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me
The Jamie's Italian in Dublin never closed and has been in business since 2012. Afaik he just sells his name these days and has no direct control over the running of the restaurants.
Should come to Southport and try farmhouse kitchen homemade pies, sausage rolls and lots more consistent award winners
Hello sir … i do like Jamie as a chef … remember during lockdown..many chains went bust and yes many other businesses suffered aswell .. as in luton wen Vauxhall motors and IBC .. all the caffs and other people who rely on bigger influences…. still i stand by Jamie as hes a cool geeza ❤❤❤❤
5:16 Clocked you were doing a review from the moment you sat down😂
Those are not pappardelle those are mafalde or tripoline !! Coming from an Italian living in Italy
suggest u can find Uncle Roger to review this restaurant again
So a bolognese should be more mushroom than meat. Hope that helps Gary. A splash of ketchup on top as well.
So glad people remember how badly he behaved owing money not least the council .i for one will never watch another show go to his restaurant or buy a book he writes done with him!
That food looks bloody good! My favorite is the prawns in garlic oil. I would eat that every day at Francescas in Newcastle Upon Tyne, authentic Italian food cooked by Tony, the owner. I don't know if he is still there, I'm talking about late 80s early 90s. The best Italian food is the simplest, awesome ingredients delicately cooked washed down with table wine, a fruity young red. A slab of aged Parnesan to finish…..perfection.
Never been to any of his restaurants but apparently many people said they were all absolute pony.
You need to speed up
Gazza, food is getting cold,,,, that Jamie geezer is a fraud ,,,, he owed people £85 million ,,,, how can he open another joint?
He went bust owing £80 million while keeping his personal fortune of £180 million. Did he pay off his creditors leaving him with £100 million.? Did he ****!
Should never be allowed anywhere near the restaurant Business ever again.
Hi gary i have a very good restaurant recommendation for u in hull its called santis its a Italian restaurant that do alot of different food i recommend the linguine sugo di mare wich is a fish pasta dish and u get lots even the lobster ravioli is quite tasty as my wife would recommend that
Why so many Italian restaurants so close together?
Wasn’t this fella skimt
He keeps nicking food from other cultures and completely ballsing them up.
He had his 15 minutes, amusing working-class cook, but since he sold out to Sainsbury's it's been disaster after disaster.
There are chefs who can cook much better and are more authentic; leave it to them.
YouTube just popped this up for me, wondered where you had gone lol. I see a lot of people complaining about his company collapsing but it was not him who stole the money and in Britain everyone deserves a second chance. It is sad that so many suffered but maybe they should complain about politicians defrauding hmrc with house purchases to name one, and they still have a job.
Rant over and it all looked delicious 😂
Everything looked nice 😊 thanks for sharing 😊 please like share & subscribe helps build the channel 😊
That IS a rip-off street. As for, "that's Jamie's handwriting", did you notice every 'a' looks the same as the next 'a'? Same for EVERY letter and number. He's such a turd, I don't think he can even write. When the outside investors used his name last time, it went tits-up and people lost jobs, suppliers lost money owed as did landlords. The idiot with a tongue too big for his mouth kept his house. Jamie needs to stick to handing food through the fence, to primary school children. He invented Turkey Twizzlers! OK, the last bit is not true.
It's operated by the BRAVA HOSPITALITY GROUP. It's just a brand/franchise. JAMIE is not even listed as a director! Eat at a family run Italian.
I wondered if they charged the 12.5% gratuity on the amount before tax (20% VAT, I think). It is closer, but still not right. Very odd indeed!
DEAR GARY <, I am sorry, but that's not PAPPARDELLE pasta; it's called fettuccia riccia, ITS THE SAME TASTE PASTA BUT STAGGERED SHAPE HAHA…thanks for your amazing videos
Nice video as always Gary – that all looked really nice, with impressive service too ! / Mark
Google Reviews are good and it'll be full of tourists anyway who don't know about his previous failings, anyway spag bog looked decent, just needs some mushrooms and chilli flakes and id happily eat it.
all jamie olivers restaurants is bread, bread and more bread and charge a fortune for it
Agree don't put mushrooms in bolognes . Mushrooms are a crime 🤢
