Italians consume the least processed foods on the European Continent. Under 20% of the food bought in Italy is processed. It is around 10- 13% The UK has the highest @ 50%+. When we lived in the UK we just went for the quickest solution. Let us not forget though that not all people in UK buy processed foods. A lot of people definitely avoid them. I have just a couple for emergencies but only for that. No processed foods on a regular basis at all.
Sauces pre processo are not healthy, but tinnned tomatoes are not either
In our household, we eat pasta as an appetizer portion and not as a main course. We also never eat pasta that has been leftover and put in the fridge. We feel that after it is leftover, it's just all starch and not appealing.
