Hi Claire. When you have something and you know it, you tend to hide the fact to keep humble. As you say he who is wealthy does not flaunt it. He or she can eat at any restaurant but do not make a show of it. Those people also eat in family run trattorie because the food is genuinely good. I have come across self-made people that flaunt their wealth and genuinely rich people that do the opposite. And of course self-made people who remain humble.

Exactly we have to be wise how we spend money, everything is expensive now. And am glad because your expat group is really a good investment and helped a lot! And I agree the amalfi coast is beautiful but its not italy at all.. nowadays its even not a good experience because its so crowded.. maybe if you are a millionnaire.
