The JFK Harris was created by bartender Zachary Gelnaw-Rubin for Dutch Kills in 2012. Dutch Kills is a bar in the Milk & Honey family in Long Island opened by former Little Branch bartender Richard Boccato and Petraske in 2009. Gelnaw-Rubin started his bartending career in earnest at Little Branch in 2008 after getting job through being a bar regular. After getting trained he ended up at Dutch Kills where he found himself behind the stick for the next six years. There’s a really great interview with Gelnaw-Rubin which if you’re interested you should read, I share a lot of his philosophy when it comes to cocktail making and bars, here’s a link:
