I love the chicken parm sub on a braided here
The Italian sub is wildly overrated by all
But the Meatball Sub was my original Fav here
Sadly it can be hit or miss
If you’re fortunate enough to get one close to being made
Then you’ll see why I used to love them back in the 90’s
I will continue to search for a solid meatball sub in the area

  1. I'll probably catch flak for this, but Market Basket's subs have really impressed me. Their Steak & Cheese is fantastic for 6 bucks, and their meatball subs are good too.

  2. Woo! local! lol. Wow about what you said about their Italian. Yeah it is a meat bomb. I don't think they even add lettuce or anything. Quantity is definitely their thing. 5 minutes away from where I live, I can't go wrong. Definitely gotta try their chicken parm and meatball.

  3. Papa Gino’s, they still do mball subs? Good stuff and all over the place, sometimes better than gambling on some sand bagged balls from some greek

  4. I got a chicken cutlet sub there last week and the provolone cheese was melted. Guess you went on a bad day.

  5. Michael, I’ve been watching you from the beginning, and 99% I typically agree with you. I know this review/showcase is about the meatball, it you kept saying that Anthony’s Italian wasn’t that great. I would say that Anthony’s is probably my favorite”go-to” when it comes to Italians. I’ve had New Deal, it’s good, I need to try it again, but there’s something about Anthony’s Italian that is just awesome. Plus the owner Anthony is the MAN! This guy always wants to make sure you’re happy and has helped me on last min Xmas orders even after they’ve stopped taking them. I’m going to hit New Deal again this week to compare.

  6. Mike have you ever tried McKinnon’s in Wilmington, the former Lucci’s for an Italian or meatball sub? Iʼm a huge fan of everything they do. Grocery store, prepared food, butcher shop…..

  7. Yet another great, and entertaining review! Best wishes again for continued success. Im going to keep watching Michael!

  8. Longtime Anthony customer, they’ve fell off a while ago, had to move on. However the parm is still decent.❤

  9. I'd like to suggest that you try Caesar's pizza in Somerville for pizza and subs. Their food is underrated but smacks. I have no doubt you'd get a fine lunch there no matter what you order.

  10. Love your videos, and IMO they're just the right amount of time. If anyone doesn't like it….Va-fangulo.

  11. The only thing more neglected than the cheese on meatball with cheese sub are my Denise Austin Get Fit videos.

  12. Absolutely on target about the Italian! It’s got more than twice the filling it should have and half the quality.

  13. Boom another winner. I don’t understand why people are negative commenting you content. By now you don’t know what the “The Real” brings to content you need to crawl back under that rock…that was beneath the 1st rock and cry yourself to sleep. I am not a big meatball sub guy, chicken parm is my jam for any Italian hot sub. Does this mean I skip the video…hellz to the no!! Some people just can’t be happy unless they are bitching about something.

  14. I try not to get meatball subs to take home by the time I get home and open it ITS SOGGY AS FK‼️IT FLIPS ME RIGHT OUT🤬🤬🤬🤬🙄🙄THE MOISTURE makes the bread WET🙄🙄🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬UGHHHHHHHH I HATE THE SUBS WET IF I can I try to get them to put them in a box with no wrapper on it especially the cheese steaks same thing the top of the roll is always soggy either ill eat in the car or inside Scientifically someone needs to figure out how NOT to make roll wet and soggy‼️🙄🙄😂😂😂😂😂🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼

  15. I lived right down the road in Melrose, this is where my grandma got her cuts – mortadella, prosciutto, salami, ham, roast beef. Anthony’s was always the best hands down. Get the meatball from mothers on Franklin, and try the buffalo chicken calzone from mother’s house of pizza. Best roast beef is over at Billy’s.

  16. Grew up in Roslindale we had some good Sub shops but the place in Southie called "Joseph's" had the BEST Veal Cutlet Sub ever this was in the late 70's is it still there? Sam Scola's in North End too best rolls and tuna

  17. I do not care what you say, but bobs of medford is not North Shore. I hear you live in Saugus. Saugus is north shore. Medford is Greater Boston. stop calling Metro Boston North Shore. Stoneham is on the border of both.

  18. NO WAY are your vids "too long"…… I ENJOY the full length content even more …. That looks like a GREAT Meatball sub, Michael …. KEEP them coming PLEASE !!! Eric
