A unique creation that combines traditional Japanese wagashi with Italy’s iconic Parmigiano Reggiano. This recipe was developed by Chisato Nakamiya, a wagashi artisan at Morihachi, a historic confectionery established 400 years ago in Kanazawa.
Inspired by the classic pairing of cheese and dried fruits, the gentle moisture of yokan creates a texture reminiscent of dried fruit, harmonizing beautifully with the rich umami of Parmigiano Reggiano. It can be enjoyed as a refined snack or paired with wine.
