Looking for the authentic Bolognese sauce recipe? This is the real deal.

In this video, Italian Chef Julia shows you how to make original Ragù alla Bolognese, the traditional meat sauce from Bologna, Italy. Rich, slow-cooked, and incredibly flavorful, this classic Italian recipe is made with a proper soffritto, pancetta, mixed meats, wine, milk, and tomato passata, simmered low and slow for the perfect texture.

Real Italian Bolognese sauce is not a quick tomato sauce. It’s a slow-cooked ragù that becomes creamy, thick, and deeply savory, just like the one served in traditional Italian kitchens.

Perfect for tagliatelle, pappardelle, or homemade lasagna.
