Hiya! I’m Margo and over the past few weeks, I’ve been posting a series of shorts as I recreated my great-grandfather’s travels through Europe 100 years later.
This video is a compilation of every episode that takes place in the countries of Italy and Vatican City. Our journey starts in Rome before taking a several-episode detour into St. Peter’s Basilica and the Vatican Museum. From there we return to Rome, then head North to Florence to visit the Duomo and the Uffizi Gallery. We then take a break from recreating Levi’s travels and relax in Cinque Terre’s five towns: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Monterosso, Vernazza, and Corniglia. Then, the travels through Italy come to an end with a quick stop in Genoa’s basilica before crossing the border into Southern France.
Throughout these episodes, you may notice something interesting with the background music. To start, every episode had the same royalty free track in the background. Then, I began experimenting with different tracks that fit the topic of that particular episode. Starting in Episode 29, every guitar backtrack you hear was written and performed by myself. I just think that’s cool.
