Continuing the celebration of Black History Month and National Syrah Day 🍷🍷🍷
Today’s Black-owned wine feature is by Mosi Wines

In honor of Presidents’ Day, this is absolutely the wine I’d share with @barackobama the 44th U.S. President and the first African American to hold the office.

Syrah Fun Facts 🍷
Also known as Shiraz—Syrah is the name used in France and other Old World countries, while Shiraz is commonly used in Australia and other New World regions.

Syrah is grown around the world, including France, Italy, Spain, the U.S., South Africa, and Australia. Its style can vary widely depending on climate, vineyard location, and winemaking choices.

South Africa has been cultivating Syrah for over 100 years. Cool coastal influences help create wines with depth and complex flavors.

Syrah is the second most planted red grape in South Africa, just behind Cabernet Sauvignon, and the country has the fourth largest Syrah plantings globally.

This bold red pairs beautifully with BBQ’d steak, ribs, roasts, game meats, or biltong, a South African air-dried cured meat.
