This is the ultimate childhood comfort meal๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น Pastina al Pomodoro is simple, velvety, and ready in just 10 minutes.

Unlike the broth version, this one is all about that rich tomato flavor finished with plenty of butter and Parmigiano Reggiano. Itโ€™s one of those meals you never really grow out of!

What was your favorite way to eat pastina growing up? Let me know! ๐Ÿ‘‡

Ingredients:
1 lb pastina
1 (24 oz) jar tomato passata
2 garlic cloves
Olive oil
Salt & black pepper
Water mixed with 2 tablespoons tomato paste (hot broth)
1 1/2 cups grated Parmigiano Reggiano
1 tbsp butter
Fresh basil

Directions:
1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and add the garlic. Cook just until fragrant.
2. Pour in the tomato passata and season with salt and pepper.
3. Add the pastina directly to the sauce and begin cooking, stirring frequently.
4. Gradually add the hot broth as the pasta cooks, letting it absorb before adding more.
5. Once the pastina is fully cooked and creamy, turn off the heat. Stir in the butter and Parmigiano.
6. Finish with fresh basil
