I travelled to Reggio Emilia, a city that quietly hides one of the strangest stories in Italian football.
Two professional clubs.
One stadium.
But the club from the cityโฆ doesnโt own it.
In this video I try to understand the curious relationship between Reggiana and Sassuolo – how a small town club backed by the billionaire owners of Mapei rose to Serie Aโฆ bought the stadium of Reggio Emiliaโฆ and now allows the cityโs historic team play in it.

I mean the ground is also home to Sassoulo, and is owned by Mapei (who own Sassoulo), who do get higher attendances there. And also a lot of away fans travel to the stadium. And in my country South Africa there is a Mapei factory. And how did you attend two Reggiana games in this episode?

I was in italy in early December and was in the area of Reggio and i went to see Sassuolo vs Fiorentina .I stayed in the City Hotel close to the stadium and bought my ticket at a little magazine store on the side of the road in front of the hotel . I was fortunate that t weather was perfect for the game โ๏ธ๐

The Mapei is one of the most soulless Stadio in all Italia
I live in Leicester my family are football fans mainly Leicester city FC none of us ever went to watch the rugby until my dad got board of retiring and got a part time job at the Leicester Tigers so he got free tickets let's just say you lasted longer than me before walking out but you can drink alcohol at the rugby softens the blow a bit.

Reggiana should return to their old stadium with minor renovation if they can.The feeling in mapping is like playing away from home.
9:18 MAPEI is not a construction company. Is a chemical company that produces chemicals for building industry. They don't own any building in Dubai, they don't build a damn thing and definitely neither World Cup based projects.
What maybe several buidling companies (not MAPEI, other ones) have done, is to employ their material.
I understand that you need to push the narrative that Reggiana is from Reggio and MAPEI took over an abandoned stadium nobody used because Reggiana bankrupted, but stating facts rather than pushing a false narrative, is needed.
Because it takes 2 minutes on Google to verify that many things you said are not correct.
