Ingredients:
Pasta (penne/fusilli/macaroni) – 1 cup
Butter – 1 tbsp
Maida (all-purpose flour) – 1 tbsp
Milk – 1 cup (warm)
Garlic (finely chopped) – 1 tsp
Mixed vegetables (capsicum, corn, carrot, broccoli – optional) – ½ cup
Black pepper – ½ tsp
Oregano / Italian seasoning – ½ tsp
Salt – as per taste
Cheese (grated) – 2 tbsp (optional but recommended 😄)
Olive oil – 1 tsp
Method:
Boil pasta in salted water with a few drops of oil. Cook till al dente, drain, and keep aside.
In a pan, heat butter and olive oil. Add garlic, sauté till aromatic.
Add vegetables and cook for 2–3 minutes (keep them slightly crunchy).
Lower the flame, add maida and stir continuously for 30–40 seconds (don’t brown it).
Slowly add warm milk, stirring to avoid lumps.
Cook till the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
Add salt, pepper, oregano, and cheese. Mix well.
Add boiled pasta, toss gently to coat evenly.
Cook for 1–2 minutes and serve hot.
