Food Network star Amanda Freitag joins the show!
Did you know LโIndustrie Pizzeria does sandwiches on Wednesdays? Because if you didnโtโฆ now you do.
This week we headed to their Williamsburg location to try the weekly special: Chicken Vodka Parm on an in-house made sesame semolina loaf. And yes, itโs as good as it sounds. Crispy double-stacked chicken, rich vodka sauce, molten cheese & that sesame bread that honestly could hold up anything and still shine. These sandwiches sell out fast for a reason.
Joining us was the incredible Amanda Freitag, who you might know from Chopped, countless Food Network appearances, her cookbook, bottled cocktails, or her Easy AF recipes. Super talented, super humble & the perfect guest for a red-sauce moment. As a Jersey girl, she knows her way around a Parm, and this one delivered.
Freitag gave it her stamp of approval (and the cheese pull did not disappoint). Sheโs right โ Nick & Massimo are killing it over at LโIndustrie.
We paired it with Piancornello’s Rosso di Montalcino, a classic Sangiovese Grosso that just gets red sauce. Bright, savory & built for food. Some wines are โconversation wines.โ This one? A food wine through and through.
Sandwich, Sangiovese, sunshine โ not a bad way to spend an afternoon!
