G’day wine lovers! Welcome back to Wine Unfiltered. The weather is cooling down, and Tom is gearing up to jet off to France for two weeks (lucky bastard), leaving Wade to hold down the fort.
In this week’s Booze News, we look at the surprising rise of English Sparkling Wine (Millennials are loving it?), break down the grim new report on Australian wine exports—exports are down, and China is buying less red. Plus, we debate the controversial new Penfolds Grange x Jaboulet “La Chapelle” blend. Is it a masterpiece or a $3,500 gimmick? Wade has some strong opinions.
