While traveling through Italy in our tiny camper van, we met an incredible Italian family who changed our journey.

After they discovered our van and invited us into their home, we shared something special:
Japanese sushi for real Italian pizza.

They taught us how to make authentic Italian pizza and tiramisu in their home kitchen,
and in return, I shared sushi and Japanese food with their family.
Cooking together became a beautiful way to connect across cultures.

Later, when our van was broken into in Turin and we had to return to Japan for new passports,
this family kept our van safe and welcomed us back with open arms.
Their kindness reminded us that travel isn’t just about places — it’s about people.
