There’s no resurgence. Without Italian restaurants the city would be done. Everyone tried to go away from Italian restaurants to give others a chance but can’t beat a good Italian spot. That’s y u think it’s a come back… the ppl gave up n said fine… they run the market… I was wrong.
Definitely an Italian dish. Except Ossobuco is a northern Italian dish… the south never possessed the bold rich wine varietal (barolo, valpolicella, brunello) needed to braise the beef shank… also not that hard to make at home. Just need time
I used to work at liberty Village for decades when it was parkdale. It is the business lunch spot. I love it during Xmas as it is very festive. The food has always been consistently good even when they changed chefs. Never had a bad meals there for decades.

used to work around that corner beside the credit card company. never knew this place even existed cuz the stuff here are so hard to see inside. its pretty much hidden unless you already know its there
