Ranking pasta brands 👀🇮🇹
At first glance, pasta can look all the same. But when you cook it, you notice the difference.
It’s the texture, the quality of the wheat, and how the sauce hugs every bite 🤌🍝
These are the little details I grew up paying attention to in the kitchen.

Thank you for the ranking. I think De Cecco used to be the best only because other brands have really worked toward quality, not because their pasta has changed. What's your opinion? I might be too young to remember
Where are Panzani?? 😂
Beard Meets Food, latest episode, Carbonara, is it up to your standard?
I usually use Rummo but it gets expensive fast so when I don’t have the budget or advising others with lower budget I get Barilla. Let’s be honest, this is a ranking of the best pasta brands, even the D tier ones are relatively good and high in protein
Rummo wins because they have the best gluten free pasta, Penne and Rigatoni, is absolutely amazing for celiacs like me.
Where would you put Felicetti Monograno?
Molisana is my favorite….first because it's great pasta, and second, because it's from Molise.
You can see Campobasso, across the valley, from the small hill town, my grandparents were from.
Voiello is a favourite of mine. I think it deserves a tier higher. I usually pick either Voiello or Molisana for daily use. For special occasions I go for Felicetti 👌👌
Only ever seen Molisana in Canada where I shop. 🙁
I'd add Gentile and Martelli in the S-tier. They're actually better for me than Mancini when it comes to long pasta (spaghetti) but the big problem is they're just too expensive (3x-4x) which makes Mancini the best artisanal pasta for me since it's cheaper (just 2x of the lower tier pasta) than Gentile and Martelli. The rest, I agree.
Today I ate Giuseppe Cocco tagliatella with Mutti passata. A good choice.
Di Martino is high quality and taste. Affordable.
Never heard about Mancini. Now I am curious about it.
La Molisana is great. Great flavor. Easily the best supermarket pasta indeed. De Cecco, honestly… I don't even know of it deserves the B-tear. It's pretty much barilla level.
I primarily use De Cecco, because it has a good price-performation ratio and is easy to find here in Germany. Most of the other brands are hard to find, Barilla clearly dominates the market. But De Cecco is still widely available and also cheaper than Barilla.
Im buying La Molisana and Liguori here in Brasil. Great quality and fair price. Ciao!
great video man.
In Vancouver's skid row, Barilla was as good as it got. Either that or Salvation Army oatmeal.
ciao caro, in order (for me): voiello, molisana & rummo, then garofalo
The barilla isn't that bad with sauce sticking. Not saying it is great quality but it isn't a D
🇩🇪 i usually go with rummo or de cecco. but my local italian speciality store offered recently pasta from a brand called "Riscossa" for a good price in plenty of shapes. any thoughts on that ? never heard of it before… i didnt try yet, but i guess its on barilla level ? anyway: great channel with authentic content . whole family loves watching your videos 😊
To me Rummo is the best because it's the same price as De Cecco here in Canada, but it's so much better!
Since you and chef Gero is around, I leave San Remo and Barilla, and stick to De Cecco, La Molisana and Liguori.
Grazie amici italiani
Before watching Vincenzo : Pasta is pasta
After watching Vincenzo : I don't eat peasant pasta 🤌
In Monterrey Mexico you can find almost all the A tier at HEB stores, been using almost all of that tier and never disappoint, very good quality pasta 👌
Can you get these in aus?
EL IDEAL, RAM, DEL MONTE AND ROYAL?
after tried di martino and la molisana from your video suggestions, there is no turning back on cheaper pasta
changed my perception 100% about pasta
thanks!
Perfect ranking!!! maybe could ad monograno felicetti with the S tiers…
everyone knows the 90 cent Spaghetti at your supermarket is the best
I’m glad that I can find at least 4 of those pasta brands at the supermarket here in Mexico
What happened to de cecco?
Its by the way the pasta i buy as its the best avaiable here in Germany
Where would you rank Del Verde Pasta? Still is my go to pasta although much more difficult to get a hold of since many shops stopped stocking it.
Where I live Rummo and Molisano are the best available.
Monograno Felicetti from Italia Squisita is very expensive but good imo, do you think it's worth it?
OMG, Di Martino is my favorite. Liguori is also really affordable in South Korea, but the quality is surprisingly good. I can get a 9 kg spaghetti for €15.
I’ve got De Cecco Gourmet, Di Martino, Liguori, Rummo, Garofalo and Delverde now.
Mancini is great as a premium line too, but I personally prefer La Fabrica.
