Directions:
1. Take the chuck roast out of the refrigerator & let it come to room temperature for 20 minutes. Season all sides with salt, pepper & garlic powder. 2. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat & sear roast for 3-4 minutes on each side. 3. Add the seared roast to the slow cooker along with the beef broth, red wine, tomatoes, garlic, celery, carrots, onion, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, bay leaf & rosemary. Cook on low for 8 -10 hours.
