-10g Fresh Yeast
-220g Warm water
-Olive Oil

For the sauce:
-1 can of San Marzano tomatoes
-Tomato paste
-1 garlic clove
-1 Tbsp olive oil
-Pinch of Salt
-Dried oregano
-Fresh or dry basil
-Calabrian chili or red pepper flakes (optional for some heat)

You can also make a raw sauce with just tomatoes, salt, black pepper, olive oil,

For the toppings:
-Wisconsin brick cheese and/or low-moisture mozzarella
-Provolone, Fontina, or Scamorza
-Spicy or mild Italian sausage
-Cup and Char pepperoni
-Hot Honey
-Fresh Basil

  3. With ‘true’ Detroit style pizza the meat and other toppings go on top of the dough, then the cheese, then the sauce.

    And really, true Detroit style is just pepperoni. Layers on top of the dough so the grease from the meat soaks into the baked dough.

    But I still love you.
