    Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Remove sausage from casings and place in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.

    Add stracchino cheese and mix until fully combined and spreadable.

    Arrange bread slices on a prepared baking sheet.

    Spread an even layer of sausage mixture onto each slice.

    Bake for 15–20 minutes, until the sausage is fully cooked and the tops are golden and bubbling.

    Serves: 4–6 (as appetizer)

    Ingredients

    16 oz Italian sausage, casing removed

    8 oz stracchino cheese

    Rustic Italian bread, sliced ½-inch thick

    Salt & black pepper, q.b.
