While building a McDonald’s in Italy, workers uncovered a 2,000 year old Roman road and several human skeletons. Instead of abandoning the site, McDonald’s funded the archaeological restoration and redesigned the restaurant around the ruins. Today, customers walk across a glass floor and dine directly above ancient history, making it one of the most unique fast-food locations in the world.
