Creamiest Mac n Cheese

Ingredients:
1 box Kraft mac n cheese pasta (around 2.5 cups)
1 tbsp avocado oil
½ large yellow or white onion, sliced
4 tbsp unsalted butter
¼ cup flour (I used gluten-free)
1 tsp dried mustard powder
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp salt, or to taste
½ tsp black pepper, or to taste
½ tsp cayenne pepper powder, or to taste
2 ½ cups milk
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheese blend

Directions:
Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the macaroni 1-2 minutes less than package instructions, then drain
In a separate pot, combine the oil and onion and cook on low heat for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally until caramelized
In a small bowl, combine the flour, mustard powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper
In a pan over medium-low heat, melt the butter
Whisk in the flour mixture until combined
Add in the milk and heavy cream, then mix until simmering and slightly thickened
Reduce the heat and add in the shredded cheese
Once the cheese is melted, add in the macaroni and caramelized onions, then stir and once incorporated, remove from the heat

Enjoy!!

  1. Yeaaaah the US also has stuff that is banned here but fine in the EU. It all evens out, this doesn't put them above us (as much as they'd like it to mean that lol)

  2. If we're talking about Cheddar Cheese? It's naturally white. Dyes make it yellow.

Maybe I'm wrong, but that's always been my understanding.

  3. Congratulations for 100k subscribers! Also
In the end of every vid, u always “I’m a writer who likes food” sooo what books have u wrote???

  4. I've honestly always found it kind of hilarious that a lot of US food is banned in most of the rest of the world.

  5. Try adding like 4 more boxes of noodles next time, that was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much cheese sauce. I know its just for the video no way people eat like that😂

  6. Kraft mac and cheese either in the US or elsewhere hasn't had Yellow 5 or 6 in them since 2016. You could have literally checked the ingredients of the box you had.

  7. The EU will ban literally anything for no good reason. Eating too much salt will kill you. Not even that much, a lot of people have actually died from that compared to the numbers Yellows 5 & 6 would hypothetically be putting up. The US does not need to be taking cues from the EU.

  8. I mean to me it doesn’t matter it’s all about country and region, like the American government tells us more about our living standards and conditions than other countries do, and as a right we can actually testify against the court. So for a lot of people to judge or criticize other countries as if the United Nations don’t want to unify the world, we adopt practices from other countries the only thing that the UN is trying to get America on is less force feeding animals because the hormones being injected into 75 percent of American animals causes them to overeat, and the other thing is free health care. But our country has a drug problem and norcan is free but methadone isn’t, so as a country who pioneered every child has to have a education no matter sex, religion or political view, yet in some countries family’s can’t afford to send all if not one of their children to school. Also America makes close to 150 billion dollars a year on beef and cow exports globally, which makes America the number 1 beef exporter in the world, so adding the chemicals aka hormones into a cow as if it’s important. When other countries are trying to bring back extinct animals thank to the years of scientific breeding in America thanks to the UN and. Crispr Your a talented journalist but the bias is so there

  9. ah that's why americans are so weird and they're never talking about real mac and cheese when they say mac and cheese

  10. Wait isn't cheese naturally white?? And that's why they add the dye- Yk- to make it more appetizing?? ._.

  11. Theres almost certainly no reason for concern. The overwhelming majority of the times when things like this get banned its not actually for safety concerns its for political, economic, or bribery reasons. Theres also a number of things that the fda has banned that Europe has decided to continue to allow. Not to mention the studies that find that this stuff is "dangerous" usually do so by giving mice 20x the lethal dose for a human.

Now i haven't looked into this particular situation myself but i would be willing to bet a large sum that this situation falls into one of those categories. So if you're gonna say "it can lead to pretty bad outcomes" then you have to actually provide a source so we can all know that you're not just spewing misinformation like so many other channels.

  12. Yeah a large amount of yellow 5 and 6 consumed is harmful not a small amount, Google the amount of yellow five and six consumed before fatal. Googles your friend
