The truth is an Italian beef sandwich dipped in all juice and Jordan peppers is really all you need the flavor of seasoning and the juice is all there. Don’t need it. It’s not the way we eat it here but definitely good with cheese once in a while so it’s OK either way, but the answer is no.

Giardinara is worth its weight in gold.
It's true we Chicagoans prefer tavern cut to deep dish. Reason being is that you can eat tavern cut way more often. Deep dish is something you only eat a couple times a year. They will also say that Italian beef doesn't have cheese. But honestly if you gave me a fire deep dish and beef with cheese right now, I would be happy as all hell.

I'm going to differ here…. Even though I am from Colorado. Deep dish is famous for being a Chicago pizza. New York is famous for a huge slice of thin crust pizza. I've been to both… However, you like what you like. By the way the stuffed cheese in the crust makes it a deep dish. 😂
