1:59 … Huh? Mold can't grow in the freezer!
Kristie's Pie Crust Recipe
4 Cups Flour
2 tsp Salt
1/2 Cup Water
1 1/3 Cup Crisco Shortening
Mix flour and salt. Separate 2/3 cups of mixture and combine with water to make a flour paste.
Add Crisco Shortening to original flour/salt mixture and cream together.
Add flour paste to flour and Crisco mix and mix until dough forms.
Divide dough in two, roll out crust and add to pie tin, fill with your favorite filling.
Most pies bake at 425 F for 15 minutes, then at 350 F for 20 minutes until golden brown.
I wait on yalls vid!!!! Yea!!!! 😂❤
I make a cranberry salsa with jalapeños and it's VERY good. But yeah, you have to balance the spicy and sweet and lime for it to work. There are a lot of recipes online for it.
love how its going! but y'all got some rough cuts this epsiode! and 1 second of like just black screen around 1:11:56, but i loved this epsoide! y'all need to make it a proper podcast on amazon and spotify!!
Family deserved the bad thanksgiving dinner at the sister’s extravagant dinner. What an attention hog.
And why would sister hype up other sister’s dishes when evil sister created a group chat without her and taking over Thanksgiving. (please let her audition for Masterchef.)
For pumkin pie you actually should bake the pie crust first then add the filling. Pumkin pie has a low bake temp and a short bake time, so you blind bake the crust first. Just an FYI.
Your channel is one of the only places on the internet that consistently makes me smile. Thank you for that. 🙂
I was horrified about the "artistic" thanksgiving dinner, made me feel better when my normal stuff flops slightly – also I wanna go to Kristie's house for thanksgiving, I mean pie day, that sounds freaking amazing!
Happy Happy Food Coma Day 🦃 Thank you for sharing your recipe 😘
She clearly lost her old friend group because she acted this way. The way she said it was "bullying" for them to react that way, then also said she got kicked out of her old friend group because of "bullying". Sure you did Karen, sure you did
Sorry, Pie Day is March 14.
For the sister who made the crazy food… someday she's going to have to come to terms with the fact that she ended family Thanksgiving as a tradition.
I would argue that pizza and spaghetti or pasta do go together. Tons of pizza restaurants have pasta bakes you can get with your pizza.
Sbarro in malls you can buy a meal of a slice of pizza, side of pasta and a salad….on the same plate.
Domino's and Pizza Hut sell pasta dishes with their pizza … It seems pretty normal to me🤷♀️
So I have a slightly different take on the picky girl. I actually feel sorry for this girl because she is REALLY lacking in social skills and it's ruining her friendships. She's not trying to be rude, this is likely how she was raised. I probably would have had a talk with her away from everyone so she wouldn't feel attacked. Explain why this behavior is rude and to imagine how she might feel if someone expected her to make all these extra dishes. She doesn't seem to have looked at it from that angle, AT ALL. I would probably let her know that we were trying to avoid her losing all of us as friends but she needs to step up her game socially and that I'm willing to help. I would also make some jokes to lighten the mood and end it by saying I hope that in the future we can laugh about the Friendsgiving debacle. Just the fact that she listened to people on the internet and tried to apologize shows me that she at least kind of wants to do better. I would do my best not to let her out of this without at least learning something about how friendships should work. Otherwise she'll just keep floating around with no real connections and that's heartbreaking.
My parents moved about 2.5 hours away from where my Mom was from, we often brought a turkey, fully cooked, to the family Thanksgiving. Well, it was almost fully cooked then the roaster wrapped in foil, then wrapped in many layers of newspaper and placed in a cardboard box. It worked beautifully.
For the first story, I think the sister-in-law should have just told them at the dinner what had happened. I get she was probably embarrassed and upset about it but 'this is the sweet potato casserole I made with my mother before she died a couple of months ago and I brought it here so some part of her could be here' would have turned it from 'uh oh' to 'aw' and people would have tried a little bit of it at least. A couple of months is fine for frozen food. Perhaps people would have still been a bit iffy about serving non-fresh food, but when you add the story no one can actually say anything about it because what are you going to do? Insult the grieving woman and her dead mother?
I'm pretty sure I've seen spaghetti bolognese pizza before, to blow your minds. One of those limited edition novelty pizza toppings takeaways do every now and then. Didn't have any, but it has existed in this world.
I blind bake my pumpkin pie base so it's partially cooked before I put the filling in. It helps keep the bottom crisp, or the filling can soak into it while cooking and you end up with a soggy bottom. This is probably more necessary for recipes with a particularly liquid filling. But yeah, some pies you bake both crust and filling together. Sometimes you blind bake the pastry case with baking beans in first, then cook again with the filling in. Some you bake the case, then fill with non-bake fillings. If you put a ring of foil over the top part-way through the baking, so it covers the edges of the pastry, that can help stop the pastry from burning.
Thanks for the recipe, Kristi! Hyped 🎉
I brought my sweet potato casserole to my potluck lunch at my new job (1 month in…). I totally watched if it was being eaten. Not by WHO but just if. It was. I work at a very culturally diverse company and I discovered that my coworkers ate it when they went for dessert. Legit in my opinion. Meanwhile, I couldn’t get enough of the green lentil soup that was on offer!!!
Oyster stuffing is a thing guys.

I have food sensitivity, to a point where certain foods trigger my body into vomiting, even if I liked the food at first. So I can understand feeling like you can't eat anything but what you brought to a potluck
However, OP was lucky the host even got them that pizza. The host had no obligation to get it, and OP was not entitled to a completely separate selection of dishes just because they wouldn't be able to eat anything else.
Is this AI?
I wish I could sleep as peacefully as your cat.
This video randomly popped up, but what a nice guy Paul seems. Can't believe he apologised for dying
Oh, guys. Oyster casserole on Thanksgiving is a thing. 😮 appalling when made by the wrong person, oddly pleasing when made well. I too, was surprised the first time!
After constantly getting your videos on my tiktok fyp, I decided to look you up here 🙂
One of the rare AITA-channels/commentaries I really like to listen to,because I liek your dynamic. Orange cat is also always a big plus <3
We don't celebrate Thanksgiving here in my country, but I hope everyone who does has/had a nice one!
Cute new hair!
Also, you wrap the edge of the ppie crust with a strip of foil if it starts to get too dark, but that's a trick most often used with a pie with a top crust, so the actual top can still get golden brown without the edges burning. It's pretty standard knowledge and is even printed on the packaging of frozen pre-made dessert and chicken pot pies.
Glad I didn't finish this episode so I can listen while prepping for Thanksgiving 🤗🙌🦃🥧
❤
The difference in pizza and spaghetti I think comes down to the difference in the tomato sauce. They are very different flavor profiles.
put up a special table for her and celebrate her food then have all the regulars on the main table..then have a friendsgiving with people you like.
Bro the more I hear about thanksgiving the more I'm so glad I'm Australian
omg the kitty in baby mode is soooo stinking cute I just wanna kiss his widdle face <3 <3 <3
This maybe a hot take but not only would I let the sister take over. I would have no back up so the family could either eat the sisters food or starve. If the food is nasty I would have the “I told you so” face.
27:42 I'm starting to think that sister is just messing with everyone to see how crazy she can get before anyone says how bad it is. 😂
1:18:05 naw. If op is doing all the work, Anne should pay for the ingredients. That seems fair, regardless off how many ppl are from which crew.
Sister’s family always goes to in-laws for Thanksgiving, and you all are just backup. Why don’t they alternate spending Thanksgiving dinner with you every other year? Why are you responsible for cooking a meal for several more adults who are never there for dinner?
I honestly love when ye do fully American based videos because most AITA youtubers are Americans trying to weigh in on a lot of non-American culture, but this was all "Let's judge our own people" and I LOVED it
I agree on the “backup food” option. On Friends, Monica’s mother did that for a holiday/catered dinner that Monica made that turned out wrong. The mom called that “pulled a Monica”
Nah I guarantee that the black friday chinese dude was being a butt. He's a dude on Reddit asking what went wrong. It's just how that works 🤦♀️
