Welcome to the Final Conference of the APPETITE project, a JPI HDHL initiative dedicated to understanding and addressing poor appetite and undernutrition in older adults.

This event brings together researchers, clinicians, industry partners, and policymakers to share the projectโ€™s achievements- from developing plant-protein & fibre food products to designing a multi-centre clinical trial combining nutrition and physical activity support for older adults.

About APPETITE:
This multinational consortium- including University College Dublin (Ireland), Friedrich-Alexander Universitรคt Erlangen-Nรผrnberg (Germany), INRAE (France), Fraunhofer IVV (Germany), Newcastle University (UK), the University of Padua (Italy), Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (Netherlands), and industry partner Food Companions BV/Bridge2Food โ€” combines expertise in nutrition, ageing, biomedicine, and food-technology to develop and test plant-protein & fibre dietary solutions for older adults at risk of undernutrition.

APPETITE aims to explore innovative, acceptable, and sustainable solutions to help older adults maintain appetite, nutritional intake, and overall wellbeing.
