One of Houston’s most iconic Italian spots — run by a chef who grew up cooking rustic Tuscan food in Italy, and named after her yellow lab, Giacomo 🐶🇮🇹 With perfect fall weather, the patio was the move.
We started with cheesy roasted eggplant in tomato-cream sauce, spicy garlicky shrimp you have to dip bread into, and crispy pan-fried cheese with briny olives and peppers. All hits.
For mains, we tried buttery ravioli, fresh pasta with a rich meat sauce, and a golden pork chop sautéed in butter and olive oil. Simple, soulful, and so good.
Ended with a silky chocolate cream pie with a hazelnut cookie crust.
