We spent a weekend in Rapallo on the Italian Riviera, and took the ferry over to Portofino for the day — and it was every bit as dreamy as you imagine. Slow mornings, seaside lunches, and that relaxed Italian pace that reminds you to savor every moment.
This is Part 3 of our Italy Trip series.

Rapallo itself is absolutely nothing special but it makes a good base for Portofino (and do also go to the abbey of San Fructuoso) and Camogli (very underrated).
