Prosecco in online message boards often gets a lot of slack, and is unfairly compared to Chamapgne, I find it is usually very good value for money. In the supermarkets in Friuli you can easily find Cartizze (the highest grade Prosecco) for €15/US$18. It's far more accessible other sparkling wines.
Great video! We definitely enjoy our Prosecco.
Can't wait to open a bottle of Prosecco after such a great video!
❤
I am going to take closer look at my costco kirkland prosecco bottle next time.
Thank you for an interesting video. A video on Franciacorta would also be interesting
Great informative video. I especially like your comments about the use of pesticides and Italys effort to restrict them. Key point is how to identify which wine makers are following good practices?
Prosecco is delicious but also simple. Even the top quality level cannot escape the simplicity of aromas offered by glera grape. I have tried the best and the worst wines from this appelation and i terms of tasting experience Prosecco is just boring. But for social situations, because of its simplicity and very repeatable flavour profile it is a very safe choice. Just remeber that for the price of Prosecco you can have a cava or cremant which have way more to offer.
“No seal? No deal!” Lots of good info and graphics in this post. A reminder Prosecco DOC is worth getting reacquainted with. Wine Doctor heal thyself! 🥂
