In a previous video, Eva showed me a kind of traditional Italian cookie called “mostaccioli,” and even made some for me to try. I thought they were great… until the other day when she took me on a little trip to visit a master mostaccioli artist.

Our minds were blown and we think yours will be, too. Check out our new video to see what happens when the simplest cookie possible becomes art!

  1. I don't eat a lot of sweet foods, but I would certainly buy these beautiful cookies, and give them as precious gifts!
    Lovely art!

  2. All the time spent as a kid playing with clay, dough, play dough, etc seems to have paid off in the culinary world! ❤😊

  3. Have you guys ever met Carlos and Sarah? @Carlosandsarah ? They are from Calabria… I just realized this after coming across one of their videos again on my feed where they said they were from there… That's crazy…

  4. We had a neighbor who had an Italian bakery that made all kinds of traditional Italian cookies. I particularly loved one that was clove flavored (almost like a little gingerbread cookie but with clove as the main flavor) that was dipped in a chocolate glaze. I think they were originally from Bari, and I know that in Italy, that is an entirely different world across on the Adriatic from Calabria, but on the off chance, I thought I'd ask if your father in law knows that cookie and how to make it?

  5. You can steal a recipe, learn the secret ingredient, but you can't steal an artisan's skill and tecnique.
I mean, I guess you could, but thats called kidnapping.
