Zucchini is best in the summer, which is when this dish really excels. Today, one can get zucchini at a reasonable price, year-round, so it’s easy to make this dish for the family at any time of the year. To balance it further, add some protein, such as swordfish, shrimp, crumbled sausages, or shredded chicken breast. You can add as little or as much of each ingredient to this recipe as you want to satisfy your nutritional preferences and, of course, your taste. 1. I have to smile when Lidia rinses out a can/bowl in order to use everything. My mother was very frugal and did the same thing, and she was so skilled with a rubber spatula that you'd think the item had been washed. (And of course, I am my mother's daughter 😉)

  2. I love Lidia and I've watched her for a long time maybe it was on PBS or something where I watched her before. Her family is so lucky to have her. I wish she was my grandma

  3. Hey Lidia, your recipe link is once again different from the video. It says to put half the cheese between half the pasta mixture, and and the other half of cheese on top in the recipe link. It also says to cook the Basil with the mixture in the link, not put a few Basil leaves on at the end as per the video. I hate to point these out, but it IS inaccurate, but I'm sure you wouldn't want to confuse your audience.

  4. What does it mean when shae says "grated cheese"?? What kind of cheese she is talking about?? Parmessan, pecorino?? What?
