Hereโs the Baked Ziti recipe again for your convenience:
PASTA INGREDIENTS:
16 oz ziti pasta
24 oz marinara sauce
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 egg
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/4 cup grated pecorino romano cheese
salt & pepper to taste
MARINARA SAUCE:
128 oz can whole San Marzano tomatoes (crushed by hand)
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
5 garlic cloves (chopped)
3 tbsp fresh basil, minced
1 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Cook ziti according to package instructions.
Mix cooked ziti, ricotta mixture with marinara sauce, and half the mozzarella.
Transfer to a baking dish, top with remaining mozzarella, and bake for 30 minutes.
Serve with Italian bread and salad.
