Chief is forgetting a serious part of the context that he keeps mentioning. The titans didn’t resign Nate Davis cause they knew he didn’t like practicing and that’s exactly what happened in Chicago. Nate is the worse signing and it’s not close
Swift had the lowest yards after contact (YCO) in the NFL last year. He was bottom 7 behind the Philly OL the year before (minimum 120 carries). He does not run within the scheme – or in between tackles. Teams with speed will always shut down Swift on the edge and his unwillingness to run inside makes him a liability. Not hating. He can make plays situationally.

We give Caleb a lot of leeway because of the bad offensive line play, which I agree, it was horrible. Why do we not give Swift a little bit more leeway for the same reason? I don’t disagree that we should be shopping for a RB but maybe he’ll be better with this OL overhaul.

How is Swift the worst Poles signing? That's one of the worst takes I've ever heard lmao. Yeah he was definitely overpaid and he started out awful last year but he got better and he was running behind a bad line. Also despite all that he still almost ran for 1000 yards lol. Let's see how he plays this year.
Somehow, everybody forgets how David Montgomery was hurt every damn year love the guy is the hardest damn runner through the tackle. We had Herbert, who led the NFL in rushing yards. We did not mind losing Montgomery when we picked up. He was the opposite of those guys, a speedy scat back, kind of guy. Nobody thought he’d be running to the tackle. I think the only reason it was our number one was because we paid him so much, with a good coach, they don’t care how much he spent on himself. They’re gonna put him where he belongs and elevate a more complete back, which is probably Roschon Johnson hopefully or the fungui- minogue
