  2. Piemonte’s best foods include: agnolotti del plin, brasato al Barolo, Fassona beef, gianduiotto, Alba truffles, insalata russa, Toma and Castelmagno cheese, tegole, nocciola del Piemonte, baci da dama. Good wines you should find are Nebbiolo (and its premium versions Barolo and Barbaresco), Barbera, Dolcetto, Pelaverga (reds), Cortese, Arneis, Timorasso (whites), Moscato d’Asti (sweet).

  3. We love Italia. We have been many time. Italian cuisine never gets old all for us. Every region has it's specialty . We love it all. Thank you for the work you guys put into doing these vids
Sending you much love ❤❤ from Jim and Harriet

  4. Going for our first trip to Italy in less than two months. I already know what I want to try for pasta dishes when we'll be in Rome, plus the suppli and the pizza taglia, pinsa (Pinsa 'mpò was recommended) and tonda. For the Campania region, aside from Naples, I'd like to get the chance to try some seafood dishes while we're in Salerno and visiting the Amalfi Coast.
The real headscratcher is the Molise region, where my paternal grandfather was born. We'll be spending parts of two days in his native town, Larino and another couple of days in Termoli, and I haven't really researched the local cuisine there, so if you have any recommendations for that region, I'd be grateful. Also, if I missed anything from Lazio and Campania, let me know too.
I want to try the wines from all three regions we'll be visiting and we're planning on visiting a vineyard near Larino and bringing back a couple of bottles or wine home. Wines from Molise are hard to find in Québec. As a beer lover, I already know Moretti and Peroni, so I'll be looking to discover others that I haven't tried yet. Of course, I'll be having an Aperol Spritz, been making some here at home, but I have tried Campari Spritz, but I wasn't too keen on that one because it's too bitter for my taste, I like the Aperol better. I love limoncello…well…love is an understatement…but I'll try and have a spritz made with Limoncello while we're in Salerno and the Amalfi Coast.
Oh, and to everyone here, it's one cannolo, many cannoli, no "s". 😉
The best gelato are at Gelateria Artigianale (artisanal gelateria) where they make it in house, and it won't be in those flashy neon colours.
You'll pay less for your coffee if you ask it "al bar" than at a table or outside. And I do want to try that caffè correto at least once during our trip!
