How do I make 50 cents each tacos? Read on! Details in description. Cooking for one or many, chicken soft tacos (in the Mexican style) are budget friendly, and Yummy!

From memory, Sam’s Club haul chicken was $1.78 per lb., Campari tomatoes $2.50 per lb. (tomatoes are key to fresh salsa), 2 lbs. garlic under $5 (used one clove). Onions from Save a Lot were 3 lbs $0.99, jalapeños about $1.50 per lb. at Aldi. Corn tortillas about $1.50 for 30.

Cooking for one, but employing large family budget concepts, I can splurge here and there (see crazy expensive olive oil, etc.).

My daughter is my biggest fan, and most harsh critic. Today she had spinach pie (spanakopita) = best ever, she loved the olive oil flavor and thick piles of lightly cooked spinach, also pine nuts. Her Greek Salad, she felt tasted Italian. I used the Italian oil, omitted garlic (she reacts to it), added bell pepper (she likes it). She ate more salad than normal, loved it, but got Italian instead of Greek. The baklava (made with pecans), she could not find the rose water past the stronger nut flavor compared to walnuts, but appreciated the pine nuts. She took a big banana for a snack… she generally pays $0.35 for one, I paid $0.21 at Aldi. (I will cut in three & freeze for smoothies) on the second one.
