Not sure fanning the budget one from the front was sensible.. Should have fanned it from behind..
I've got a Ninja Foodi 8-in-1 Flip Oven that makes great 12" pizzas. It also only takes 60 seconds to preheat, not half an hour.
I've got the pizza oven accessory for the GMG Daniel Boone pellet smoker and it's fantastic.
Awesome video, pizza cooking wars 😂.
I bought a Tandoor oven for about £80 a couple of years ago. It reaches 400c and cooks a pizza to perfection in 90 seconds. I bought a pizza stone and peel so all in for just over £100.
The pellet oven needs the door on the front when cooking.
I had the ooni pellet oven yrs ago and even though i needed to pay more attention to the pizza and the oven the results were better than this. But of course this was after a few attempts. But gozney rocks for sure
I'm a bit of Gozney fan boy, I was originally going to purchase their dual-fuel dome which has a very premium price but can only cook one medium size pizza at a time. In the end I bought two Roccboxes, and I run one on gas and one on wood – using the wood box accessory.
Chuck in an outdoor stainless steel pizza workstation and for just over £700 I'm churning out restaurant standard Neapolitan pizzas that are delicious. The Gozney's are up there with some of the best purchases I have ever made.
I got mine for £319 each during the Black Friday 20% savings. The regular price is £399.
It's worth pointing out that the wood box accessory does add a bit of flavour but not enough to warrant the faff of keeping the fire stoked and up to temperature.
BRING BACK THE REAL GADGET SHOW!!!!!
Haha, shame they didn’t know how to use the cheap one. It’s the same design as the original Uuni that I owned. It only works with the door on and closed otherwise the airflow doesn’t draw the flame over the pizza, hence why it took 10 minutes to cook and not 90 seconds. I own a Gozney now, it’s great I don’t miss the faff of pellets, you don’t get any smoke flavour from pellets in 90 secs!
The time and skill it takes to make really good pizza at home just makes the cheap one pointless, you’ll be fighting with it the whole time.
It’s not like a bbq where you can buy a cheap one, slightly burn some burgers a few times before binning it and be happy; you need to be using it 10+ times a year.
The door needs to be on with the pellet oven. Frankly 360c with the door off is impressive. Pizza door on would be way better.
Video released 3 days ago, yet price when googled today (17 March 2025) is £400 even on Gozney's website! I'm feeling … umm … gas lit
Yep I’ve got the budget oven and you need to close the door , takes about 3mins to cook with excellent results. 👍🏻🍕
I bought the roccbox when it was first introduced to the market. It works great on gas, but the wood burner extra burner only gets to around 250°C. Great for potatoes, no good for pizza
Pathetic. Totally unfair testing, kept opening the door on the cheap one sabotaging the result
I have a big horn same as budget one and I love it you need to keep door closed to retain heat and draw flame over pizza
