  1. The UK health system has been starved of money for over a decade and it has suffered as a result. The new government is committed to the NHS and is expected to undo the damage of the previous government, but it will take time. Some private capacity is also available in the UK.

  2. In the UK moaning about the NHS is like moaning about the weather: everyone does it. Though, nobody wants to get rid of the NHS. Nobody.

  3. There's already a treaty in place between the US and Italy to avoid double taxation. I'm studying the Italian language and planning to retire there in 2-3 years. There are options in 7% tax region that don't involve the €1 homes. In the meantime, I'll be visiting 2-3 times/ year 😊
