Aloha everyone! 🌊 Welcome to another episode of @SliceOfHawaii 🍕 Today we are joined by host Yung Chow (@savsoundmedia) and 2 very special guests (@cynthialinmusic / IG @dokaloha) to dine at RIGO – a premium Spanish & Italian tapas joint located at the food famous Kapahulu Avenue right here in Honolulu. Rigo is run by Japanese chef Masa, and has 2 sections on the menu – Italian and Spanish. The food here is BUSSIN and they got phenomenal service. In addition, Rigo’s interior is one of the most impressionable and grandiose spaces in all of Hawaii. The high ceilings at the venue gives the bar a vertical feel and they even have a massive wine cellar that covers the entire second floor. Rigo is known for its world class bartenders, wood fired pizzas, and artisanal pastas. Be sure to ask for the marinara pizza which is an off-menu item that is absolutely fire🔥. @DavePortnoy boy u better get your a** over here right now!

Rigo used to be a bank🏦, but the owners converted the venue into a restaurant, and decided to keep some remnants of the past. One of the elements they decided to preserve is a beautiful vault door to a safe room🔒. They basically converted the safe room into a private dining room, and we were lucky enough to have a proper feast in this one of a kind space. Thank you so much to the HUGE group and the staff at RIGO for treating us to a truly memorably meal. We love you Jimmy and Lloyd! We are so lucky to share this experience with you!

Rigo will be opening their 2nd location in Japan this year. They will also be opening their 3rd location (2nd overseas location) at The Park in Ward Village Honolulu in 2026. Stay tuned!
