  2. We'll be there a week from today for two weeks in Rome and Florence. This is really good information. This being a Jubilee year might also affect the crowds in February.

  3. We live in Florence and we are heading down to Rome this coming weekend. Want to experience some of the amazing things Rome has to offer

  4. Great video! I am going to Rome last week of March, and I wanted to know if buses are secure in the city, during day or even night at like 22h?

  5. We went first week of January. Awesome time to go. Holiday decorations are still fully lit and low crowds. Tour guides were amazed at how “small” the crowds were. Easy to get restaurants, cheaper hotels and airfare, and the weather was sunny and 60s/40s.

  6. Thank you so much for the video! I will be flying to Rome in 3 days, and I'm super excited. I have already watched a couple of your videos, and they are really helpful.

  7. I was in Rome last week , your advice was very helpful. Maybe I was lucky , but the weather was fantastic (27-30th Jan.) , sunny and warm. For those eager to visit Rome – February is a great time to do this🙂

  8. See you later this month! All of your Rome and Florence videos have been instrumental in ensuring we make the most of our first family trip to Italy!! Please keep them coming for future trips!! Also, if I see you out and about, expect a hello and my deepest gratitude!!

  9. Thanks for the video! I’ll be at Rome next weekend and planning to watch the Pope’s blessing on Sunday. I also would like to visit the Basilica’s Dome before or after it, do you think it will be open?

  10. Am really enjoying your videos as I prepare for three weeks in Italy March 4th to 23rd – a week in Rome and the balance in Salerno area.

From a weather (clothing) preparedness standpoint, I think it’s important visitors consider their own situations. For example, if you live in a cold climate like I do (on an island in the North Atlantic), then March in Rome will seem warmer than it would to a visitor who lives in a warmer climate. For me, it will seem more like May or early June and, quite frankly, I’m here for it! Or rather, I will be there for it 😎

  11. Congrats on having over 50,000 subscribers! You’ve long passed from fame into the realm of legend. I loved walking the outline of the ancient Circus Maximus track. Your Sunday videos are a highlight of the week. Thank you! You’ll no doubt soon have over 100,000 subscribers!

  12. I’m going in the first week of March and so I would imagine it won’t be too different. I’d love to go to an opera there but it all looks completely booked up!

  13. We will be there 15 Feb – 22 Feb, but the Pope denied our request for a visit at Peter's tomb. He said they were full during that time. However, I am very excited to try your passeggiata from the Spanish steps, Villa Borghese, Pincio, Piazza del Popolo, and Via Margutta on our first day!

  14. Ciao. Vengo dal Messico e vorrei sapere se è conveniente acquistare la tessera per i biglietti e i biglietti chiamati Go City Roma

  15. My husband and I are coming in March to celebrate 10 years of marriage! We are so excited!

  16. Yes, in 2 week- time. I can't wait! I try to visit Rome every year in January or February. Last year I visited St.Peter's tomb. Inceadible experience.

  17. Love visiting Rome in Feb. Visited Pompeii and it was nice. Stayed in an Air B/B the Monti area and loved it Made regular visits to Conad for Groceries. Highly recommend Feb if schedule permits. Early Spring it gets crowded for sure. Thanks for all you do. Tourism department should hire you. You have great info on this beutiful country and its cities/regions.

  18. Went to Rome in January—thanks a lot Elyssa for your videos—I saw churches and other museums that i would probably have missed. Best videos about Rome!

  19. Circus Maximus is not very popular amongst the tourists 🏇🏇🏇🏇 I was there in July and there were only 3 people on the ground, including me 🐎🐎🐎🐎 Even when the Hop-on Hop-off bus stops at Circus Maximus, hardly anyone gets off 🚌

  20. Perfect! This video is just what me and my girlfriend needs before visiting Rome. We're going the first week of march. What would you say the temperature stays around? (celsius)

  21. Wife and I leaving on the 23rd for 2 weeks in Rome, and wanted to thank you for all of the info you provide. Made our trip planning so much easier and educated. Were so excited!

  22. 1st week of March, i cant wait 😍 booked Vatican and Colloseum tickets through your links! Thanks for all the great information!

  23. Yes, this is prefect! We’re visiting for 7 days later in February and are so excited! Thanks Elyssa!

  24. Another great video thanks. We are coming for the 6 nations this weekend. What are your tips for getting to and from the Stadio Olimpico?

  25. Congrats on 50K well deserved, always interesting and ways to save money and maximize trip!

  26. Just arrived home from Rome. Plenty of tour groups and tourists in general are definitely arriving close to opening times at the different attractions. Make sure to arrive as the places open so you can have that 30 minutes to an hour window of reprieve before the crowds rush in.

  27. I arrive in rome in 9 days, I am so ready for it, to take in all the history and go to most all museums but I come from australia so i think i might die of the cold

  28. I want to see the Sistine Chapel in February!
Is it better to do it at the first available hour or the last? Also, are the official guided tours worth it? Or would we just rush through stuff anyway?

  29. Thank you! We’re heading your way this month. Your information has been priceless. What restaurant should we not miss outside of Rome? We are staying near the Via Appia Antica area.
    Thank you again!

  30. Was there last week and loved it. Cold didn't bother me as we are avid skier and used to cold mountain weather.

  31. Best pizza is at Circus Maximus, Falo Bistrot , Palatine side close to Mouth of Truth. Absolutely amazing
