The Siemens Taurus sure is a beautiful locomotive.
The Vectron and Vectron-style cab cars will never look as good as the Taurus.
If you want the best view of the landscape, always sit facing the center of the mountain range, as that’s where the highest peaks are. When you cross the border into Italy, you can switch to the seat in front of you if it’s not already occupied, of course 🙂
I don't know if I am unlucky or what, but I do München to Verona or Venezia every month basically, I since the RJ was introduced I got so many more delays, and very long. Last two trips I had more than 1hr delay. Also I have to say that I prefer the old EC. Better seats and much more cozy honestly.
The new windows with the honeycomb pattern are awful.
Thank You very much for this nice video. My only point of criticism: some subtitles are shown only for – estimated – 1.5 seconds, too short to read.
Considering the train: compared to the old ÖBB IC/EC carriages, the seat comfort in this Railjet is – frankly speaking – apalling. Such a claustrophobic seat layout for long distance train I have experienced only once in Europeonce, namely the "Super Voyager" (or so) in GB. The upholstery in 2nd class is more like that of a regional train, and even the seat pitch in 1st class is narrower than in any other long distance train I know, somewhat claustrophobic as well.
And the business class is a joke in itself. One could think that the size of passengers is constantly shrinking if one regards the decline of legroom in european trains.
This train lacks the comfort and class of the original series. Low floor is a disaster for those who would like to enjoy the landscape (especially these days with the sound barriers along quite many stretches, sitting down there you see nothing at all). One low floor car per train would be more than enough for those who need easy access. Unfortunately, these days the new version of just about everything is less comfortable than the previous one and the same goes for overhauls: I prefer slightly tired and dated old but comfortable seats to the new shiny ironing boards (the same goes for planes).
What's the prupose of the Siemens hive glass?
Best thing was clearly the Bundesbahn-Musikkapelle. The real Austrian and Bavarian Brass Music is awesome.
Me resulto un excelente video, y sus comentarios muy acertados La pregunta es, si cada vagon ha costado una alta suma de dinero, porque razon, no se gasto algo mas para hacer los asientos mas confortables, No creo hayan ahorrado mucho dinero,
This train sucks. The stairs inside as well as the small space for my knees
Great video…:):):)
My favourite route going through brennero into Austria from Italy
In 15 years I will probably be dead, I wish you a very great time! I would preferred something right now… 😇
So much advertisement!!
waw…amazing journey whit a good view . its makes me remember for 34 years ago when i was in tirol & wien, thanks for sharing video, having a good trip, greetings from indonesia
3:42 Why the police? Did they do passport checks because it was an international train?
FYI, for this video, your pesky subtitles appears as grey letter on grey background. Had to go through all subtitle settings to test a new look where I could read the subtitles. Not sure if you encoded the video differently or if it is just me. But I much prefered it with real titles. (I realised it is much easier for you, but it is not as pleasant to watch. And shame on you for convincing doc7austin to copy you 🙂
I have to admit that this video is fantastic, I like this video.👍👍
I find these new seats the most uncomfortable in the industry
Les Siemens Vélaro , seront elles présentent en France?
Bolzano when it was part of austria proper was refered to bozen and still is under thesoth tyroleanunique status within italy.it is dual languageand semi aurtonamous.whilst italian is thofficiallanguagefor allmattersof legal andstate.whilst german(austrian)is stillused in all educational emporiumsand has a use tomsaintain the cultural idemtityof the region.the mixof italianand austrian culturesgives the region a very unique anbeautifulflair😊.the austrian majorityare very proud of their culturalheritageandwork well with the italiangov.although it had not always been aneasy relationship
