  1. Interesting video, i have to say before i would visit a McDonald's i would rather go to a bakery or another fast food chain, even in europe with the higher food standards McDonald's is considered unhealthy.

Nothing beats a freshly baked bread roll, crossaint or pretzel 😋 and it's much cheaper than McDonald's and way more healthier.

But i understand why americans love fast food, some americans have 2 or 3 jobs or work extensively long, they don't have the time to cook a meal. It would be interesting tho, how the country would change if the food would be more healthy. Imagine they would sell real bread not that sugar overdosed sandwich bread yikes

  2. The most significant difference is that everything in the US aims to maximize the profit for major corporations. Minimal wages and unhealthy additives are banned in most civilized countries for a reason.
Plus, of course, with worker-friendly labour laws such as much shorter work time and with working public transportation, you get more free time, so you don't have to stress eat to get through the day.
The only time I eat burgers is when I'm on a long car vacation trip, but I never eat them in the car (disgusting habit); I always spend at least half an hour seated in the restaurant. Never McDonald's, most often Sweden's Max, that predated McD with five years here.

  3. From this video, it sounds like the quality of the food in Europe is simply just better. It's not only the difference in meal size but also the difference in calorie content and general quality of the food products.
That's actually sad considering USA is a nation where the healthcare system is based on overpriced health insurance and cost of drugs and medical treatment.

  4. Calling somewhere that serves "fast food" a restaurant is a lie and incredibly unhelpful for anyone who is trying to loose weight or just eat more healthily in general, it's a con which is pushed to make people think they are eating better and more healthily than they actually are, call a spade a spade and end the lable game for all, that way those wanting to be more healthy will have a better chance of being able to get the food they are looking for, I understand that many corporations won't want to do this because it will show them for what they are and what they are doing.

  5. Almost all foods in Europe are of much higher quality and made with less harmful ingredients than in the USA. Btw, the German "Big Rösti Burger" is not pronounced "Big Rusty Burger". Emmental cheese is not regional to France, but to Switzerland!

  6. European fast food is considered 100% better than US fast food.
Need to add that european fast food is considered by most people as really bad junk food, that you only take when hungry or in a hurry and get no other solution.
In that case going to a bakery (at least in France) is often a better choice if you have it, and many of them also offer drinks or coffee.

  7. I have had fastfood in the US and every time I felt bloated. We were on a 3 week tour from Florida to California by car and lunches had to be fastfood because other options were not clear to us or even not around, so the Mc D's and Burger K's even the Wendy's had to be our choice. After three weeks overthere we came home and did not eat very much for diner for at least another 3weeks. When we were on Dutch food again we started to feel better and indeed lose weight.

  8. Fast food as a German yes – but only from the local butcher, baker or a kebab shop on the next corner. Why should I give my money to a US chain for worse food when the small local shops earn that thousand times more?

  9. I'll only have a "takeaway" breakfast, (or any other meal), from whatever fast food establishment every two or three years. And I only do it to remind myself of why I don't eat that type of food. I'm happy with just a cup of tea or coffee in the mornings with the very occasional pastries to eat.
Emmental cheese is Swiss NOT French.

  10. Who ever eats a McDonalds is not European any more, this is not food, it is chemical waste

  11. 7:25 In the picture you show of The Big Mac Index, Switzerland is something of an outlier in being more expensive than the US. Both the Eurozone and the UK are cheaper.

  12. WTF, “building your own huge burger appeals to the American love of innovation/individuality” ?

    😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Is this guy fucking serious ?

No, it appeals to American GREED. Period. Nice try kid. Yet THAT must surely be one of the most blatant attempts to spin a negative as a HUGE positive in internet history !

Jeez, if only us dumb, stupid Brits (invented the whole damn world)/those Europeans (Teutonic German engineering ?) were gifted with that US brilliance so they could build a huge fat ,greasy burger to stuff our fat faces with (all that time wasted on Ferrari, Jaguar, trains, cars, inventing the computer, the web, the modern police force, discovering gravity, antibiotics…)

    Made my day 😂

  13. The real reason for the huge border fences is to keep Americans in so that they cannot find out about how much better the rest of the world is.

  15. The basic difference is between "natural" food and "ultra processed food".Ultra-processed food is made in a factory with industrial ingredients and additives invented by food technologists and bearing little resemblance to the fruit, vegetables, meat or fish used to cook a fresh meal at home. A major factor causing obesity in the US is not just the quantity of food consumedbut the additives that are in it, Particularly fructose.

  16. Fast food British Fish n chips great nutritious healthy food, Kebab great fresh neat cooked as u r waiting again great nutritious food, Macdonald's KFC Burger king full of chemicals low quality food to make you FAT
