Can I say something?
I'm italian born and raised in Italy, I grew up "knowing" that you never put cheese on fish dishes. Disclaimer, now in my old age, I don't care and I actually use (sparingly) cheese on fish occasionally. However the reason I was always taught is that since fish has a very delicate flavour, you don't want to cover it with cheese which can be a little bit overpowering. Not sure if this is where the "rule" originated from, but there you have it
Shrimp Alfredo crying in the corner 💀
It’s more of tradition to not put cheese on seafood and I’m Italian and we don’t actually have a Alfredo the closest thing to it is just a butter and cheese sauce
cheese and seafood kinda sounds bad to me but if someone likes it that's good. I'm picky anyway😂
I am from Greece and we have a dish called saganaki (look it up) that has either muscles or shrimp and cheese and it's actually really 👍
we have scallops with cheese here at Vietnam!
There are health related things (correct me if am wrong)
My girlfriend loves Shrimp Alfredo Pasta because thats what her grandma made her for special occasions before she passed away. So I'm just gunna keep making it for her, to the best of my ability❤
there’s a saying: if something is bad, put cheese on it
you don’t want to overpower the sea food with cheese, and italian cuisine is all about the taste of fresh ingredients
