  1. $9K does seem a lot but when you consider that a first class flight from London to New York one way is $13,400 for one person, it starts to look like good value for a bucket list item!

  2. Basically it is 5 Star Hotel on Wheel. Must have been created for blue blood. Seems it has its own silk route.

  3. the price you paid, would barely cover a Delta D1 ticket from Salt Lake City to London, one way. Luxury is relative.

  4. Crazy! What a cool video, this certainly seems like a really expensive trip for a train but maybe it’s worth it!
Cheers 🥂 my friend! What a FABULOUS Train!

  5. Thank you! I’ve been blessed with this experience in fact Cher and at that time Chastity was in the train. I’ve kept my souvenirs Napkins, coasters, my luggage tags❤ Beautiful Experience

  6. 9 thousand dollars for 24 hours for anything is insane, unless you’re a millionaire. Even then it’s ridiculous when there’s so many people who don’t even have a place to sleep. Having said all that I do appreciate your trip so I can watch, and do my imaginary travel. 😁

  7. Feed the poor. Approximately 90 people can be fed for one month from the amount of this ticket.
    Just saying 😊

  8. That’s ridiculously overpriced and terrible value. I guess it’s for people who just want to say “I’ve been on the Orient Express” and have just endless money. That’s why they’re penny pinching people on a bunch of extras, because their guests won’t even look at the bill.

  9. What a great video, regards the price, it doesn't seem so bad considering the time you would spend on a flight in First Class/Business Class, with more areas to move about in compared to a flight, a proper sit down dinner/breakfast etc. I think considering the provenance and distance it's a good price for the experience.

  10. The caviar upcharge was tacky. At this price point you shouldn't have to see prices once you're on board

  11. I appreciate this for sharing your experience. Thanks for this. But for this is the most stupidest way to travel at such an exorbitant cost. Only for the dumbest people with more money than sense.

  12. Wait wait wait wait…. you mean, you pay 9000 dollars to ride the train, and then you have to pay for the food you eat???
That's unprinciple. No self respecting person should be okay with that. I dont care how much money you make.

  13. Even if I had all the money in the world, there is no way I would pay $9000 for a 24-hr trip by rail. I don't begrudge you for taking the trip at all, it's beautiful scenery, which I've seen many times, as I spent my summers in Europe with my grandmother, but it seems like companies take advantage of wealthy people by jacking up the cost of tickets, just to see if wealthy people are dumb enough to pay those prices. "Live like no one else today, so you can live like no one else tomorrow."

  14. 24 hours is just too short a journey to really appreciate the O.Ex. experience. If I won the lottery, Istanbul would be my destination.

  15. I don’t think the cost is way too high. When you consider a first class flight ticket from NY to Paris direct costs $20K for only a 7 hour trip then $4,500 for a 24 hour experience is a bargain.

  16. I loved this video, what luxury. I think every penny you paid was worth it. I thank you as you both are my eyes ad ears when traveling to amazing places in such comfort. @ 12;34 you both look so elegant, the food delicious, the service, the dinner train, I loved it all. Your voice is also soothing and I love the respect all your videos reflect. From Texas "cheers" to you 🍷🍷

  17. The only thing that bothers me is the blanket with all the fuzz on it I think I would lose my mind for that kind of money it needs to be brand new!

  18. My Dad traveled on this train had a great time..old world details luxury. He met a special friend for life Carolyn.
    Thank you for video.

  19. I think your afternoon tea may well have been High tea. Normally served at 4 , but no earlier than 3 or later than 5.

  20. $9.000 for this tiny room, no shower, a shared bath room and drinks in the bar not included. Not to mention the basic Veuve Cliquot Yellow Label they serve as welcome drink (which costs them less than $30 per bottle). The food didn't look that exceptional either. I'd rather spend my 9k on 10 nights in a luxury hotel and michelin starred restaurants.

  21. If people are put off these kinds of train journeys, all I can say is, definitely don't be – and I have been to every continent in the world except South America in every kind of way, usually quite expensively – the best, literally the absolute BEST trip I have ever been on was in Australia on the Indian Pacific/Ghan (train) First Class. Was not that expensive and I'm afraid the service standard and food were simply the best anywhere that I have been; 'up to the best' put it that way because I really HAVE experienced the best! lol

  22. So nice to see you did the cheapest cabin, just watched another video from someone else on their 80 days around the world video and their tone was slightly condescending about the cheapest cabin as they of course paid for the top tier on that train from Budapest of course as well as part of their global round the world only for those that win the lottery. Even in my local currency for 24hrs doing the same journey as you did would be about $14,500 so not cheap but is a train journey that would be amazing to do but as you say there are other trains some that Belmont run as well for much cheaper and longer as well.

  23. I think, whatever the price can be, it is nice, like in the past, to travel this way. But you really have to have to go somewhere. Taking that train only for the train itself, not because it is the best and most comfortable way to go where you need to go, seems to me absolutely useless and a huge waste of money.
I also feel that what's nice travelling by train is to meet other people, expecting very nice and interesting people. That is more important to me that the bathroom.

  24. It's definitely paying to say you went on the Orient Express rather than getting strong value for your spend. Just my take. And that's fine – tons of people pay for experiences and I think more people should do that. I just wouldn't expect 5 star hotel quality or Michelin quality food, either.

  25. I take it ya can't ask for chips! (French fries) lol even when I'm a millionaire I still like what I like and that food is certainly not my cup of tea lol apart from chocolate deserts x

  26. Thx so much!! Took day trip from London on this beautiful train. Nice to enjoy the full tip with you!❤️💃🏾❤️
