  1. Prosecco is one of the few wines where you can buy the best for only a few dollars more than the ordinary, so it definitely pays to aim high!

  2. I just have to tell you you are so amazing. I work in a grocery store in Texas and I do wine demos and you have taught me so much. I pass on your YouTube channel and your webpage to almost everybody I come across especially the new young adults that are coming over and doing wine demos with us I tell them to go watch your videos to learn so thank you very much you are very much appreciated

  3. I think a good starting point with any European wine is that you want a controlled, named region (AOC in France, doc in Italy). The more specific the region, the more likely it's good wine – although I've had some mediocre named villages and some spectacular basic CDR in the Rhône, it's a good general rule that's unlikely to leave you with a crappy glass.

  4. Hey Madalene! Could you make some videos on this topic for French and Italian wines? Talking about the distinction between cru, premier cru, grand cru, DOC, DOCG, etc and how to read more labels? I think it would be equally as useful for others as this video! Cheers and thanks for the Prosecco tip.

  5. Really enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing this piece of information. Sometimes it’s pretty daunting and intimidating when trying to select a nice little bottle of wine..

  6. My tip, walk by the Prosecco. Move on to Cava, New World méthod champenoise, blanquette, etc.
Tank method and Glera grape…. yuck.
