  1. What I do is cover a frozen fillet with water bring it up a low heat until fish is fully thawed. Add seasonings to water then bring heat up to light boil. Boil till done. You should be able to do this without having the fish fall apart! As easy as macaroni and cheese in a box.

  2. Canned tomatoes, barely there flavor from the butter because it only sat in the fridge for as long as you cooked you store bought pasta

  3. Couldn't I just put the pre-cooked lobster under the broiler for a couple minutes to loosen it up instead of losing any of the butter to the griddle? If I'm that concerned with char I could just blow torch the top of it a little bit.

  4. Any seafood is disgusting. If it can live underwater for 4 minutes it’s gross.. meat must have fur or feathers on it that lives above water.

  5. When one has the freshest and the best seafood, here’s a tip from a life long fisherman: Don’t throw salt all over it! It’s the worst thing chef’s do — they kill a fresh filet with salt which then turns the taste and texture into mimicking a piece of fish that is a few days old. Let the quality and freshness speak for itself with a little butter, white wine or lemon. Use paprika if you like with a bit of herb instead. Leave the salt for pasta water.

  6. A really great relationship with fish is to keep a decorative gold one in a bowl in your living room and never besmirch your cookware with the disgusting stuff.

  7. Seen Rodger on a lot of different shows. He is a true old school legend. And Gordon, I could almost smell that Lobster. Amazing!
