Trieste Italy – known by many names: "Vienna of the Sea," "City of Wind" and "City of Coffee." Just an hour and a half from Venice, this sea port city is a delight. Do drop by and say hello…

I was actually looking to visit here a couple of months ago by sheer coincidence as Ryanair were & are offering very cheap prices from Dublin!
Ljubljana which is commutable was also on the agenda, but it never transpired so it means more money for poncha & bolo de caco!
