The Amex Gold Card is one of the most popular and best travel credit cards out there for the right people who can get good value from the credits it has and points that this credit card earns. But there’s also so many other ways to get good value from the American Express Gold card that not everyone knows about, so I tried to cover all of those things here. In my opinion, the annual fee on this credit card is very low compared to the amount of value that some people can get from it when they know all of these details.

I applied for the gold card. It will be the first Amex card I've ever had. The welcome bonus on their website was 60,000 points. They offered me 75,000 points. It will get used often. And a little later on I'll apply for the platinum for travel.

AMX GOLD, FAILED to give first bag free and pushed me to zone 3, with customer service stating nothing we can do for you. Not woth the money.

Hey! To anyone who can answer I spoke to Amex asking if waiting for the due date to pat the bill with auto pay hurt my credit if I carry a decent balance on the card past the statement date… the person from Amex said it should never hurt you as long as you pay your bill monthly… this obv is different then normal credit cards correct because they send your “usage” reports to credit on statement dates correct ? Even if you pay on time (due date) you will still be hurt techbically.. is Amex different ?! Thx

Just pay your rent with the gold card. You’ll reach the minimum spend with ease.
The biggest downside is that AMEX is not accepted by the largest wholesalers, such as Costco.

The Amex customer service are not professionals & do not answer right to your Question , do not listen or follow your needs , this card is useless & Expensive to have , they want you to spend out of your packet giving you 30 days to pay back , annual fee is so high , other cards have non , when you think of it has no benefit for you , be smart never get it !

Awesome video man. I had a question about the welcome bonus offer (mine is 90k after spending 6k in first 6 months). Once you hit the spending threshold, how long does it realistically take for the bonus points to hit your account? I know Amex tells you 8-12 week, but I’ve seen many people online saying it’s usually just the next billing cycle. Or even a few days later.

Would buying gift cards (let’s say a Walmart gift card or Sam’s gift card) from a Neighborhood Walmart still be able to give me 4X points on the AmEx gold card? Those are part of my daily spending habits, especially since I get gas from Sam’s.
