Somebody Up There Likes Me, a 1956 American drama film starring Paul Newman and Pier Angeli, is based on the life of middleweight boxing champion Rocky Graziano. Sal Mineo, Harold J. Stone, Eileen Heckart, and Everett Sloane are among the supporting cast.
The film received three Academy Awards; Joseph Ruttenberg won two of them for Best Cinematography (Black and White) and Edric Gibbons, Malcolm Brown, Edwin B. Willis, and F. Keogh Gleason for Best Art Direction (Black and White). When it was up for Best Film Editing, Around the World in 80 Days won.
