  1. I was there many years ago. Famous affreschi di Giotto, early examples of perspective painting A,D. 1200

  2. Another great video! Assisi was one of my favorite towns in Italy. I was there before the earthquake. I know the beautiful church was restored after that. Very interesting video.

  3. This is the 1st time I've watched Your channel. I'm really enjoying it as I found it to be very educational and the scenery is so beautiful. Great job you two!!

  4. I ve been to Assisi three times and looking forward to be back there at the beginning of June at the end of St Francesco s walk. From Assisi you can go to Siena and San Giminiano, then up to Pisa. Do not miss Orvieto either.I ve been to Rome numerous times but still find new sites to discover. I visit Italy at least once a year since there s so much to see and experience.

  5. What an amazing video!! Packed with so much information about various aspects of the city – love it. Thanks.

  6. Hi, thanks for a very informative video. We visited Assisi four years ago and loved it so much that we’re visiting again this June. Just wanted to add that for anyone arriving at the train station, if you like walking, it’s about a 30 minute walk up to Assisi. We did it and it was very enjoyable, although we appreciate that it wouldn’t be so great for those with luggage.

  7. Thank you for your YouTube video on Assisi. My husband and I are heading to Italy this September and will visit Assisi.

  8. Oh I loved Assisi too. What an incredible place. If you can go back in summer, it's definitely worth it. The color of the sky and that of the sun rays on the stone… Just wow.

Where do we go in winter? Good question. We hide inside I guess 🤔 too cold out

  9. Your video full of information, very practical and useful, better a lot than those walk tour video. Just for non English speaker, I have to say your speed is a little bit fast 😂

  10. Great job!!! Definitely a place we will visit soon!! Did not know about the protection of the Jews – what a wonderful testament to faith.

  11. Dear all, in truth if you eat a pizza together with a cappuccino, in Italy, they look at you as if you were crazy!😲😄

In fact, the cappuccino is accompanied with a dessert, such as a croissant, especially in the morning for breakfast.

While coffee can be taken as a snack or after lunch, even with savory coffee, but after finishing the meal.

Then everyone is right that he does as he wants and as he likes, but I wanted to tell you about the Italian 'customs'.

  12. I love most of your episodes! I need to plan a vacation in January but my body is saying go to a warm island, my heart is saying Italy.
Were you in Greece for all of January? Was there a bearable place to go where places were open to see?
Please let me know the warm place that is recommended to you by your viewers.

  13. That was our airbnb in Assisi with the pizza place across the alley and below!! We were there for a month, the November before last, so probably right before you were there. The 2nd day I broke the key off in the lock on that 2nd door at the top of the stairs. That was a real "Oh no" moment. Fortunately Emanuele made it over in about an hour with a new key.

  14. Best memory. Wandering a medieval street at dawn in Assisi only to have a Franciscan monk dash by singing "Jesus Christ Superstar" on his way to Mass.

  15. I noticed this video this months ago while planning my trip but I didn’t want to watch it because I wanted the element of surprise when I got there … (well I missed my connecting train Surprise ! but I managed to get there ! ) Love love love Assisi! Turned out My hotel room( apartment )was in the amphitheater ! Town was practically empty my first couple days (May 5,6,) then it got a little crowded with tourists /pilgrims – (no street food vendors – a lot of “bars”/cafes open) then they had their Renaissance festival that the locals participated in. I had a wonderful time it was so beautiful ! Rocca Maggiore gives you beautiful vistas over the town ! Can’t wait to go back to see San Damiano and a couple other spots thanks to your video …

  16. We're traveling to Italy in October. Our stay was extended by a couple of days due to flight changes. I considered adding Assisi to the itinerary, and thanks to your video it will now happen. Looking forward to visiting as the last stop on our Italian adventure. Thank you!!
